All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bathinda invites applications from eligible MBBS doctors for the position of Medical Officer in the Department of Community & Family Medicine. A total of 3 positions are available for the Mobile Medical Units (MMU) project funded by HMEL under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

Essential Qualifications
MBBS Degree: From an institution recognized by MCI (Medical Council of India) / NMC (National Medical Commission)
Medical Registration: Valid registration with State Medical Council or National Medical Commission
Age Limit: As per statutory requirements
Desirable Qualifications
Postgraduate diploma in Family Medicine, Community Health, or Public Health
Experience: 1-3 years in public health settings, mobile health programs, or Primary Health Centers (PHCs)
Proficiency in digital health platforms (e-Sanjeevani, EMR systems)
Knowledge of national health initiatives and disease surveillance
Experience in community health programs and preventive medicine
Job Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Patient Management
Administer primary clinical care encompassing diagnosis, treatment, and minor operations
Emergency stabilization for all patients attending the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU)
Manage acute conditions and provide first-aid assistance
Team Leadership & Operations
Direct and oversee the MMU team ensuring synchronized operation of nurses, chemists, laboratory technicians, ANMs, drivers, and support personnel
Organize and supervise MMU operations with scheduled visits to designated sites
Optimize routes and collaborate with PHC personnel
Engage in review meetings and performance evaluations
National Health Programs
Execute national health initiatives including RMNCH+A (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child Health + Adolescent), NCD screening, tuberculosis management
Vector-borne illness management during outreach visits
Immunization programs and health awareness campaigns
Diagnostic & Laboratory Services
Administer and supervise diagnostic services via point-of-care testing
Operate and interpret ECG, blood pressure monitoring, glucometer testing
Facilitate prompt referrals for advanced care when required
Documentation & Reporting
Ensure precise documentation of patient data, registers, and referral slips
Reporting via HMIS (Health Management Information System) and NCD portal
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in data management
Inventory & Resource Management
Guarantee availability and effective management of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies
Oversight of inventory management and emergency medications
Oversee operation and upkeep of MMU equipment including ECG machines, glucometer, BP monitors, oxygen supply, emergency kits, and vehicle maintenance
Community Engagement & Health Education
Deliver health education and enhance community awareness
Involve ASHAs (Accredited Social Health Activists), ANMs (Auxiliary Nurse Midwives), and local leaders for efficient outreach
Conduct awareness camps on preventive health measures
Quality Assurance & Safety
Guarantee quality of care and patient safety encompassing infection control protocols
Follow ethical practices and ensure patient confidentiality
Walk-in Only: Candidates must bring all documents and appear in person. No online or offline applications accepted beforehand.
Reporting Time: Candidates should report at 9:00 AM on 16th February 2026. After 10:00 AM, no additional candidates will be entertained.
No TA/DA: No Travel Allowance or Dearness Allowance will be provided for attending the interview, including for SC/ST candidates.
Temporary Position: This is purely a temporary contractual position co-terminus with the project. No claim for permanent employment or continuation in any other project.

Salary Conditions: Consolidated salary without other benefits. Salary may be delayed/stopped if the project is postponed or stalled.
Misconduct/Ineligibility: Appointment may be cancelled at any time in case of misconduct, unsatisfactory work, or if the candidate is found ineligible later.
Canvassing Disqualification: Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification.
General Terms & Conditions
All posts are filled on a purely temporary basis co-terminus with the project
Candidate will have no right to claim permanent employment under ICMR, AIIMS Bathinda, or continuation in any other project
Post may increase/decrease as per requirement at the sole discretion of the Competent Authority
All educational, professional, and technical qualifications must be from recognized boards/universities and full-time
Experience must be acquired after obtaining minimum educational qualifications specified
The rules and regulations of AIIMS Bathinda and/or funding agency (ICMR) will be applicable
