Eligibility Criteria

For Positions T.P.-01 to T.P.-04 (Fisheries Science):

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree: Master's degree with at least 60% marks or equivalent in point grading system in Fisheries Science or related field, with Bachelor's Degree in Fisheries Science
  • NET/SLET: NET (National Eligibility Test) or SLET is essential qualification from ICAR/UGC/CSIR or any other Central/State Government Agency
  • Publications: At least one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Science, New Delhi) related refereed journal
  • Age Relaxation: 5% relaxation in marks at graduate and master's level for SC/ST/Disabled (Physically and Visually Disabled) candidates
  • Ph.D. Alternative: Candidates with Ph.D. degree with course work along with at least two full-length publications having NAAS rating not less than 4 are exempted from NET requirement (as on last date of application). Candidates with Ph.D. without course work do NOT qualify for NET exemption.

For Position T.P.-05 (Home Science/Resource Management):

Essential Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree: Doctorate degree in Human Development and Family Studies/Resource Management and Consumer Science/Home Science, OR
  • Master's Degree: Master's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies/Resource Management and Consumer Science/Home Science with at least 60% marks or equivalent in point scale system
  • NET/SLET: For candidates with Master's degree, NET (National Eligibility Test) is compulsory
  • Age Relaxation: 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/Disabled candidates

Salary & Remuneration

For Candidates Meeting Assistant Professor Eligibility:

  • Rs. 650/- per hour
  • Maximum: Rs. 30,000/- per month

For Candidates with B.F.Sc and Master's Degree in Fisheries Science:

  • Rs. 550/- per hour
  • Maximum: Rs. 25,000/- per month
