Essential Qualifications

Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Computer Science:

• Option 1: M.Sc. Computer Science (Regular 2-year course) with 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university
• Option 2: MCA (Regular 3-year course) with 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university
• Option 3: BE/B.Tech. Computer Science / Computer Engineering / IT (Regular course) with 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university
• Matric with Hindi / Sanskrit OR 10+2/B.A./B.Sc. with Hindi as one subject
• Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) / School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET)
• Consistent good academic record (50% average in any 3 examinations from 10th to PG level, but minimum 55% in graduation/PG)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 42 years (as on 09-03-2026)
• Age Relaxation for Reserved Categories: Up to 5 years for SC, BC, PwBD, women candidates, etc.
• Maximum upper age limit: 52 years for candidates eligible for multiple age relaxations

Stage 1: Screening Test

• Total MCQs: 100
• Total Marks: 100
• Time Duration: 2 hours
• Minimum Cut-off: 25%
• Candidate Selection: 4 times the number of advertised posts (including bracketed candidates)
• Marks will NOT be counted in final selection (shortlisting only)

Stage 2: Subject Knowledge Test

• Total Marks: 150
• Time Duration: 3 hours
• Minimum Cut-off: 35%
• Weightage: 87.5%
• Candidates Called: 2 times the number of advertised posts (including bracketed candidates)

Stage 3: Interview/Viva-Voce

• Weightage: 12.5%
• Final Merit List: Subject Knowledge Test marks + Interview marks

2. Register online using Mobile Number or Aadhaar Number
3. Create login ID after registration
4. Fill online application form using login ID
5. Pay requisite application fee through Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card
6. Download and print the signed application form
7. Upload the signed application form along with supporting documents
8. Submit application before closing date (09-03-2026 at 5:00 PM)

• No TA/DA paid for examination/interview
• Candidates must maintain valid mobile number and email till completion of selection
• Selection strictly as per Haryana State Education School Cadre Service Rules 2012

Reservation & Special Benefits

• Female Reservation: 33% horizontal reservation in each category for women candidates
• SC/ST Relaxation: 5% relaxation in qualifying marks (52.25% instead of 55%)
• PwBD Candidates: Extra time (20 minutes per hour), scribe facility available
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Age relaxation as per rules
• Cadre Preference: Candidates must choose between Rest of Haryana and Mewat (if not selected, Rest of Haryana is default 1st preference)
