Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) invites online applications for 27 Scientist-B (Non-Medical) positions through competitive examination conducted by AIIMS New Delhi. Last date to apply is 01st March 2026.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi has invited online applications for recruitment to 27 Scientist-B (Non-Medical) posts through direct recruitment. The examination will be conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Essential Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from a recognised university in subjects related to Biomedical Sciences (such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, etc.)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in Research & Development related to Biomedical Sciences in Government/Public sector/Private Institutions

Position 2: Scientist-B (Non-Medical-IT/Computer Science)

Essential Qualifications (Any one)

  • ME/M.Tech (Computer Science) from a recognized University, OR
  • ME/M.Tech (Computer Science)/MCA or 4 years B.E./B.Tech (Computer Science/IT) with Ph.D. from a recognised University in a subject related to IT/Computer Science

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in Research & Development in Regulatory New Approach Methodologies (NAM) as alternative to animals in a Government/Public sector/Private Institutions

Position 3: Scientist-B (Non-Medical-Pharmacology)

Essential Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from a recognised university in Pharmacy (Pharmacology), OR
  • Pharm-D degree recognized by UGC/PCI

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in Research & Development in pre-clinical/experimental pharmacology in a Government/Public sector/Private Institutions

Age Limit

Not exceeding 35 years as on the last date of online submission of applications (01st March 2026)

Salary & Pay Scale

Level 10 as per 7th Central Pay Commission: Rs. 56,100 - Rs. 1,77,500 per month, including all applicable allowances as admissible to central government servants of similar status stationed at respective cities.

Examination Pattern & Scheme

Stage-I: Written/CBT Examination (100 Marks) - Qualifying

  • 100 objective type questions with 4 options each
  • Correct answer: 1 mark
  • Wrong answer: -1/3 marking (negative marking)
  • No marks for unanswered or marked for review questions
  • Medium: English only
  • Duration: As per standard CBT format

  • 5 times the number of advertised posts will be called for interview based on merit in Stage-I
  • Final selection based on interview performance
  • Document verification at the time of interview

Examination Centre

Recruitment examination will be conducted in Delhi/NCR only. Location of posting for selected candidates will be at any of the 28 ICMR Institutes/Centres across the country based on requirements.
