Job Description & Responsibilities
Primary Role
To serve as the main coordinator for Joint Forest Management Committee programs, specifically for the Vanamrit Project expansion and strengthening in forest villages of Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Sindhudurg, and Ratnagiri districts.
Key Responsibilities
- Training & Skill Development: Provide self-employment training to women and youth in forest villages
- Capacity Building: Conduct capacity building programs for livelihood development
- Employment Generation: Facilitate employment opportunities for target beneficiaries
- NTFP Assistance: Support collection, value addition, and marketing of Non-Timber Forest Products
- Coordination: Coordinate with Joint Forest Management Committees for project implementation
- Government Schemes: Facilitate implementation of schemes like Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Jan-Van Vikas Yojana and other government schemes
- Community Engagement: Create awareness and increase local participation in forest conservation and protection
