Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: M.Sc or M.Tech in Applied Geology, Hydrogeology, or Geology from a recognized university
• Graduation with good academic record
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to prepare/edit technical documents, articles, and reports

Desirable Qualifications

• One (1) year experience in Water Resources, Hydrology, or River Basin Management
• Experience in river basin management studies
• Field survey experience
• Hydraulic/Hydrological modelling expertise
• Water and wastewater sample collection and analysis
• Water quality modelling
• Remote sensing and GIS knowledge
• Coding skills in R, MATLAB, Python, or similar languages

Job Profile and Responsibilities

• Participate in field surveys and data collection for river basin assessment
• Support condition assessment studies of the Periyar River Basin
• Assist in hydraulic/hydrological modelling and analysis
• Conduct water quality sampling and analysis
• Prepare technical reports and documentation
• Utilize GIS and remote sensing tools for basin analysis
• Support development of management plans and recommendations
• Collaborate with project team and stakeholders
• Maintain project data and documentation
