Project Details

Project Title: GLAD-Fabricated Multi-Gas Sensor Array with Integrated Microheaters for Mining Safety Applications

Funding Agency: TEXMIN CPS Centre of Excellence, NIT Nagaland, Government of India

Duration: One (1) Year or till the completion of the Project, whichever is earlier

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualification:

  • B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech / M.S. or equivalent degree in:
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering, OR
  • Nanotechnology
  • Candidate must have obtained at least 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA out of 10
  • Indian nationals only

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Working experience in Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD)
  • Experience with Sputtering techniques
  • Knowledge of Oblique/Glancing Angle Deposition (OAD)
  • Sensor design and development experience

The Research Assistant will be involved in:

  • GLAD (Glancing Angle Deposition) fabrication techniques
  • Development of Multi-Gas Sensor Array with integrated microheaters
  • Applications for mining safety systems
  • Research and experimentation in nanotechnology and materials science
  • Physical Vapor Deposition and sputtering techniques
  • Sensor characterization and testing
  • Collaboration with project team members
  • Documentation and reporting of research findings
