- Pre-audit of Payment Vouchers: Pre-audit of payment vouchers and Finance & Accounts related vouchers pertaining to the Institute, including scrutiny of statutory remittances by contractors
- Establishment Audit: Pre-audit of establishment-related matters involving financial matters such as scrutiny of pay fixations and retirement benefits
- Department & Procurement Audit: Audit of department accounts, pre-check/vetting of purchase proposals, scrutiny of works/estimates/agreements/Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)/Memoranda of Action (MoAs)/documents/reports, etc.
- Internal Audit Compliance: Conduct annual internal audit of departments to ensure compliance with all Government rules and regulations
- CAG Coordination: Coordinate with Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) on certificate audits, transaction audits, and other CAG audits; assist in replies to CAG paras and audit observation settlements
- Additional Duties: Any other assignment given by higher authorities depending upon administrative requirements
