Essential Qualifications
Candidates must possess ANY ONE of the following:
Option 1: 1st Class Post Graduate Degree
- 1st Class Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences from recognized institution
- Including integrated PG Degree in Life Sciences
- Examples: M.Sc Physics, M.Sc Chemistry, M.Sc Botany, M.Sc Zoology, M.Sc Biotechnology, M.Sc Genetics, M.Sc Biochemistry, etc.
Option 2: 2nd Class Post Graduate Degree with Ph.D.
- 2nd Class Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences from recognized institution
- PLUS Ph.D. in Life Sciences
- Including integrated PG Degree with Ph.D.
Desirable Qualifications
- Research experience in genetics or molecular biology
- Experience in bioinformatics or computational biology
- Prior publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with clinical data analysis
- Knowledge of ophthalmological research

Job Profile and Responsibilities
- Conduct research on genetic and molecular parameters in congenital cataracts
- Collect and analyze clinical data from pediatric cataract patients
- Develop and refine risk prediction models for visual axis obscuration
- Perform genetic analysis and molecular characterization
- Analyze and interpret genetic/molecular findings
- Coordinate data collection from clinical partners
- Maintain detailed research documentation and records
- Contribute to research publications and presentations
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and geneticists
- Assist in literature review and data compilation
