OPTCL Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 - Overview

Job Description & Responsibilities

• In-charge of hospital administration and day-to-day functioning of Power Hospital
• Consultation and treatment of patients attending the hospital
• Procurement coordination of medicines and clinical items with HR Department
• Monitoring of equipment procurement and recommendations for facility upgradation
• Assignment and coordination of hospital staff duties
• Supervision of nursing and paramedical staff during clinical operations
• Maintenance of discipline and duty rosters
• Ensuring adherence to standard treatment protocols and hospital guidelines
• Convening Medical Board for comprehensive medical examination and disability assessment
• Conducting health camps and awareness activities in consultation with HR
• Issuing medical certificates and fitness reports as required
• Maintenance of hospital facilities and equipment
• Any other assignments as entrusted by management

Eligibility Criteria

Salary & Remuneration

Note: No other allowance or special pay will be provided over and above consolidated remuneration.

Contract Terms & Conditions

• Contract Period: Initially for 1 year, extendable on yearly basis up to 3 years based on performance and organizational requirements
• Leave: 10 days in a calendar year (proportionate if engaged mid-year)
• Mobile Facility: Mobile SIM facility will be provided
• Travel Allowance: Eligible for approved tour travel allowance as per Corporation norms
• Full-Time Requirement: This is a full-time contractual appointment; no other paid employment allowed
• Termination: Can be terminated with one month notice if performance is unsatisfactory; immediate termination without notice for misconduct, negligence, or causing loss to corporation
• Resignation: Must provide one month notice or payment in lieu if resigning

Medical Fitness Requirements

• Appointment is subject to sound health and physical/mental fitness
• Pre-Employment Medical Examination will be conducted as per medical fitness standards
• Final selection conditional on medical fitness clearance

Selection Procedure

1. Personal Interview: Selection made through personal interview by Selection Committee
2. Document Verification: Candidates must produce original certificates for proof of age, experience, qualifications, marks from HSC/10th onwards and medical registration certificate
3. Leave Pending Certificate: Retired doctors must provide LPC from last hospital/organization
4. Medical Fitness Test: Final selection subject to medical fitness
